What every officer weighs

Three things decide every visitor visa

Ties to home

Employment, property, family staying behind. The anchor of every visitor application, and the single biggest reason visit visas are refused. The risk scorer weighs exactly what the officer weighs.

Funds, and who is paying

Not just the balance: where the money came from, how long it has been there, and whether it is plausibly yours. The cost estimator formats the evidence the way the officer expects.

Travel and immigration history

Prior trips build credibility. A previous refusal or overstay must be handled head-on, not buried. The inconsistency check flags every gap before you submit.

Refusal patterns

Why visitor visas get refused

These four patterns drive the majority of visitor visa refusals, across every destination.

Ties to home country

The most common reason for refusal. Officers look for evidence you will leave when your visit ends: employment, property, family, and financial commitments at home. Weak ties mean higher risk, regardless of destination.

Financial evidence

Not just the balance: officers look at where the money came from, how long it has been there, and whether it is plausibly yours. Last-minute deposits and unexplained transfers are red flags in every corridor.

Vague or inconsistent purpose

Invitation letters, itineraries, and application answers must be internally consistent. Contradictions between documents, even small ones, raise doubt about the whole file.

Limited travel history

Not automatically a refusal, but it raises the burden of proof on every other factor. The inconsistency check accounts for this in your risk score.

Refusal patterns from published government statistics and official visa guidance · verified against official sources

Some destinations have more than one visitor route.

For Canada: single-entry vs multiple-entry, the Super Visa for parents and grandparents, and the business visitor route each carry different validity and eligibility bars. Rekoja shows the routes that apply to your specific purpose and nationality, and handles the differences.

The process

How Rekoja prepares your visitor visa

1

Score your file

Our risk scorer checks your nationality, travel history, finances, and ties to home country against the refusal patterns for your corridor. You see where you stand before you pay anything.

2

Build your evidence pack

Tailored checklist, cover letter template, financial evidence guidance: every item referenced to the official requirement for your corridor, with the date we verified it.

3

Optional caseworker check

A Rekoja caseworker reviews your full pack before you submit and flags anything an officer is likely to question. One fee, one review, before you commit.

4

File and track

File through the official government portal. Your case status updates in the Rekoja dashboard at every stage: appointment confirmation, biometrics, and decision.

Need proof of onward travel?

Many visitor applications require evidence of a return or onward booking. When you book Done-for-you, ask your caseworker: we can arrange a genuine, airline-verifiable flight reservation, not a fabricated PDF. Real, expiring, checkable on the airline's site.

Common questions

Can I apply if I have been refused before?

Yes, but a previous refusal is a risk factor and must be declared. The risk scorer accounts for it, shows you what the refusal means for your next file, and tells you specifically what to address before reapplying.

How much money do I need to show?

There is no fixed minimum: it depends on the length and purpose of your visit, the destination, and your circumstances. The cost estimator in Prepare shows you the proof-of-funds range based on your specific situation, referenced to the current official guidance for your corridor.

Does Rekoja guarantee approval?

The decision belongs to the relevant embassy or visa authority. Rekoja makes sure everything in your control is correct: documentation complete, evidence strong, every gap flagged before you file.

What is the difference between Prepare and Done-for-you?

Prepare is self-serve: you build the file using the risk scorer, checklist, and templates. Done-for-you means the desk prepares and files the whole application on your behalf, with a named caseworker and a QC gate before anything is submitted.

What is travel proof and do I need it?

Travel proof is a genuine, airline-verifiable flight reservation, not a bought ticket. Not every destination requires it on every file, but many visa officers expect evidence of onward travel. This is a service we are bringing to the platform; for now, ask your caseworker about it as part of a Done-for-you application.
